Open to adolescents ages 13-17 who are referred by the police for a misdemeanor offense or ordinance violation, adolescents and parents must agree to plead guilty to the charge, arrest must occur in Rock Island County

Teens who plead no contest to misdemeanor charges, non-violent felonies, and ordinance violations are referred to Peer Justice instead of municipal or Juvenile court.  A sentencing hearing is conducted with a judge and teen, volunteer jurors.  The jury determine a sentence.
