Description
Winneshiek Medical Center's Nutrition Services offers hot nutritious noon meals to those who are homebound or who cannot prepare meals themselves. The meals are delivered by volunteers Monday-Friday and consist of a protein entree, starch, vegetable, fruit or dessert, and bread and butter; milk is provided upon request. Meals are delivered on holidays if a driver is available and if school is canceled, there may not be meal deliveries unless there is a driver available. Special diet and special nutritional needs meals are available upon request. Winneshiek Medical Center's Nutrition Services offers packaged, frozen meals packaged as a variety of five meals per case and can be purchased with advance notice. The meals can be heated in the oven or microwave and consist of a protein entree, starch, vegetable, bread and butter, milk, and fruit or dessert. The meals can be picked up at the hospital by participants family members or friends.
