Reviews the status of committed offenders, determines when committed offenders are released on parole, fixes parole condition, may revoke parole and issue warrants to arrest parole violators, and discharges an offender upon expiration of the parole term.
Visits and inspects state and local prisons or jails.
Recommends parole legislation to the Governor.
