Provides driver risk education services to persons who have been charged with DUI offenses or violations of similar local ordinances. The program provides orientation to offenders regarding the impact of alcohol/drug use on behavior and driving skills. It also allows the offender to explore the personal ramification of the substance use.
Will also conduct DUI evaluations to determine the extent of alcohol/drug use and determine the offender's risk to public safety. A subsequent corresponding recommendation for intervention is determined and recorded for the Illinois courts or the Office or the Secretary of State.
