Description
Provides a crisis-based shelter offering comprehensive support to victims and their children fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking, and other violent crimes. The shelter operates 24/7 and provides free, confidential services to survivors to regain control of their lives. Services include crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, information, education, referrals, counseling/support groups, court advocacy, medical advocacy, transportation, and assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and laundry. Child advocacy and housing location support are also available.
Additionally, the shelter incorporates programs aimed at preventing sexual assault for both adults and children. These programs educate adults on precautions to avoid sexual assault and provide strategies for responding to potential threats, with a focus on vulnerable populations. For children, the shelter offers educational initiatives to help them recognize inappropriate behavior, assert their boundaries, and seek help if approached or assaulted.
