Open to adolescents ages 13-17 who are referred by the police for a misdemeanor offense or ordinance violation; Adolescents and parents must agree to plead guilty to the charge; Arrest must occur in Rock Island County

Description
Teens who plead no contest to misdemeanor charges, non-violent felonies, and ordinance violations are referred to Peer Justice instead of municipal or Juvenile court. A sentencing hearing is conducted with a judge and teen, volunteer jurors. The jury determine a sentence.
