Family's Helping Hand is a non profit that operates out of the Family Resource Center to assist families and bridge gaps. Resources include a mini food pantry including formula/baby food, and household and hygiene supplies.

This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Offers a food pantry during regular Sunday business hours. Starting November 6th, 2025, the pantry will offer food boxes on Thursdays between 9 am-11 am and 4 pm-6 pm. Pantry will not be giving out food boxes on November 27th, 2025. Occasionally, the food pantry may offer food vouchers and other resources for individuals in need, call for further information.

Offering a food pantry that can be used once every 30 days for non-perishable items as well as produce, dairy, frozen meats, and bread items. Story County residents can utilize The Market once per week for perishable refrigerated items such as dairy products, meat, pre-made salads, and pre-packaged items as well as fresh produce, and breads/bakery items.

The Family Pantry is also available for use once every 30 days and offers hygiene items, diapers/pullups, wipes, toilet paper, soaps and cleaners, and more.

Offers a drive up food pantry of pre-boxed food and one item of cleaning products.

Food pantry provides bread, produce, meat, and perishable food.

Provides a food pantry to eligible households who may need help with food. Food help is given once per month. USDA commodities may also be distributed through the food pantries.

Drive-thru-only pantry held two Saturdays each month, and a pop-up outdoor pantry each Monday (food only). Offers perishable and non-perishable items, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, diapers, and laundry detergent washing sheets for 20 loads of laundry.

For Thanksgiving 2025, Thanksgiving pantry is Thu, Nov 20, starting 10 am.

For Christmas 2025, Christmas pantry is Mon, Dec 22, starting 11 am.

Food Pantry is available once a month to community members that are in need of food assistance.

Provides agricultural and life skills services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Also provides a food pantry and mobile meal program. Works with Dekalb School District 428 on food education for students.

Indigent burial assistance (cremation).Payee services for Social Security/Disability recipients which uses funds to pay rent, utilities, nursing home. Assigned by courts or Social Security Administration.

Emergency food assistance (works through local food pantries). Does not offer food vouchers.
