Expanded Parenting Program helps expecting mothers and parents with children up to 12 months with resources like diapers, education materials on parenting/breastfeeding, & consumer choice of other essential items.

GDC serves low income, homeless and/or recently incarcerated individuals. Services include:

When funding allows, may be able to help with limited financial assistance for basic needs such as childcare payments, rent, rent deposits, utilities, food, hygiene products, car repairs, transportation, prescription costs, etc., through the Community Services Block Grant. Eligibility requirements will apply, and ongoing case management will be required. Contact your local County Outreach Office for more information.

Offers non-perishable food items such as breakfast bars, canned soups, canned meat (SPAM, chicken, tuna), rice, pasta, gluten-free items, as well as personal care items and toiletries are available.

During winter months, cold weather clothing such as coats, hats, scarves, socks, mittens, and gloves for adults and children are available, depending on donations.

Provides daily living essentials to anyone in the service area. Individuals should limit their requests to one time per month. The program provides items not available through other sources. Free will donations are accepted. Examples of items provided include toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Bring your clothes/bedding and program staff will feed the machines. Can also provide the soap and dryer sheets.
The Allamakee County Food Pantry provides food for people in need. Food baskets provide fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food items. In addition, non-food items such as diapers, formula, hygiene products, and cleaning products may be available. The supply given is based on need and size of the family. Donations and volunteers are welcome.
