Non-Medical includes long-distance trips, airports, train or bus stations, special and family events, sports events, and more.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities and food may be available for Veterans and their dependents. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.


Provides rides to medical appointments to the VA Hospital in either Knoxville or Des Moines. Call at least 5 days ahead with the date of appointment and the time and location.

Provides transportation to residents of Unincorporated Saint Charles Township, who are disabled or over the age of 65. The riders may ride within Kane County for 3 round trip rides per week or 6 one ways. The purpose of these rides may be for medical, dental, therapy or chiropractic appointments, a job, to the Elderday Center or to School.

Provides transportation to any person 60 years or older with pick-up site in Logan or Mason County. Transportation Services can be obtained for regular trips to medical appointments or treatment. Trips must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Please note: Persons under the age of 60 can utilize transportation but must pay the full fare (suggested donation). Persons over the age of 60 take priority.

The Care for Kids Program - an Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis & Treatment (EPSDT) program - serves residents of Polk and Dallas Counties. EPSDT is the benefit package of Medicaid/Title 19 for individuals under 21 years of age.

The focus of the EPSDT Care for Kids program is to inform families of the benefits they receive with Medicaid/Title 19. -help individuals secure a medical and dental home. Ensure that eligible individuals receive and understand the importance of preventative health care. Link families to other community resources to improve their health and well-being (WIC, Early ACCESS, parenting classes, child care assistance, housing assistance, food pantries, etc.).
