DuRide
Provides transportation for seniors ages 65 and older who are unable or do not want to drive any longer. Transportation is provided in Dubuque, East Dubuque, and Asbury only. All rides are provided by volunteers who use their own personal vehicles. All rides are one person at a time, door to door. Free or reduce cost rides may be available for members who receive any sort of public assistance.

Joy Ride Transport
Provides professional and personalized non-emergency medical and non-medical transport for the elderly, disabled, and very low-income individuals in the Greater Des Moines Metro and surrounding areas of Central Iowa, including Polk County.
Medical transport includes doctor’s appointments, non-emergency hospital visits, hospital discharge, dialysis, physical therapy and stroke rehabilitation, pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation, and dental appointments.
Non-medical transport includes long-distance trips, airports, train or bus stations, special and family events, sports events, shopping, recreational or social events, trips to and from employment, and other similar activities. Door-to-door or curb-to-curb service is available for individuals who otherwise would have no means of transportation.

Offers door-to-door rides to work and doctor appointments. Transportation is limited and provided on a case-by-case basis. Most clients must have a referral from a case manager and be approved before rides can be scheduled. Once rides are approved call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. Must have a Medicaid waiver for a disability, brain injury, or as a senior citizen.
