ASP serves as the reception and classification center for all juvenile males adjudicated to the adult institutional corrections system

CLARINDA CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (712-542-5634): A medium security men's institution emphasizing: academic education, violence prevention, anger management, parenting programs, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, substance abuse program, prison industry (trailer production), private family visitation, reentry program, pre-release program, vocational training, and special needs programs

DODGE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (515-574-4700): A medium security men's facility, emphasizing: academic and vocational education, psychological services and counseling, cognitive skills training, substance abuse program, reentry programs, anger management, parenting programs, family violence program, and MIFVPP

IOWA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION FOR WOMEN, MITCHELLVILLE (515-725-5042): Serves as the reception and classification center for all females entering the adult institutional corrections system. A medium security women's facility emphasizing academic and vocational education, prison industries, psychological counseling, cognitive skill training, substance abuse programs, violence prevention, pre-release program, reentry programs, anger management and parenting programs

IOWA MEDICAL & CLASSIFICATION CENTER, CORALVILLE (319-626-2391): IMCC serves as the reception and classification center for all males 18 years of age and older entering the adult institutional corrections system. After extensive testing and assessment of risk, health and cognitive skills, they are then processed on to other facilities. A medium security general population unit is in operation at IMCC, as well as, a special needs unit with both medical and mental health beds. IMCC also runs the only licensed forensic psychiatric hospital in the state, providing inpatient psychiatric and evaluation service to non-adjudicated patients

IOWA STATE PENITENTIARY, FT. MADISON (319-372-5432): A maximum security prison facility for men emphasizing: academic and vocational education, prison industries, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, and offender treatment

MT. PLEASANT WOMEN'S UNIT, Mt. Pleasant (319-385-9511): A medium/minimum security institution for women emphasizing cognitive based programming including substance abuse, sex offender programming, thinking for a change, and academic programming. In addition, mental health re-entry and recreation services are provided

NEWTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (641-792-7552): A medium security facility for men. Includes: violence prevention, anger management, parenting programs, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, licensed substance abuse program, pre-release programs, off grounds work programs, Storybook, GED and literacy, CALM, Thinking for Success, criminality, Braille, Key-life skills, Blackhawk County Re-entry, prison industries, etc.

NORTH CENTRAL CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, Rockwell City (712-297-7521): A minimum security facility for men emphasizing academic and vocational education, psychological counseling, cognitive skills training, licensed substance abuse program, parenting programs, leader dog training, family violence prevention, pre-release program, anger management, off grounds work, prison industries, and many other programs.
