COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY-BASED YOUTH SERVICES (CCBYS) | AUNT MARTHA'S HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Provides a 24-hour crisis response and intervention program for youth ages 11-17. The CCBYS team talks with youth and their families to understand the challenges at home. They work quickly to make sure everyone is safe and then make a plan to support the whole family. CCBYS can help with youth in crisis, youth at risk of involvement with DCFS, and youth at risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. Call for youth who are locked out and their parents will not allow them to return, a youth beyond the control of their parents and in immediate physical danger, a run-away, or a homeless youth without their parents.

TEENREACH | SPRINGFIELD URBAN LEAGUE

YOUTH JUSTICE INITIATIVE | WEST DES MOINES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Offers a community based participatory justice process. Provides repair for victims and holds youth offenders accountable, while increasing their competencies and anchoring them to the community. It offers an alternative and supplement to the court based justice system.

FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS TOGETHER | WESTERN COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES

Eight week program for the prevention of substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, school failure, child abuse and neglect, mental health problems, and violence. FAST consists of a team of community members (teachers, community partners, parents, and volunteers) who run the program each week.

PREVENTION PROGRAMS | HOYLETON YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES

Offers prevention programs to increase community education
- Substance abuse prevention.

Offers educational curriculum style courses (for youth between the ages of 11 and 17 years old within the community or in DCFS residential facilities).

The curriculum is provided in school settings with approval from school administrators.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention is also provided in DCFS residential centers.
