One-day book bag giveaway event, held on Sun, Aug 9, 2026. Hours are 1 pm-4 pm.

- Held at Miller Park (2707 Redick Avenue, Omaha).

- School supplies and backpacks will be given away to K-12 students; no documentation is needed.

- Other family activities are offered at the event.

Back to School Giveaway distributes backpacks filled with school supplies for Head Start -12th grade students from low income households. Free supplies for the first 1,500 kids. GIVEAWAY LOCATION: the 15 DMARC Food Pantries around Polk County will have school supplies to hand out for the bash. Backpacks will be available at the food pantries starting Fall 2026.

Back 2 School Bash - July 31, 2026, 5 pm-8 pm.

- Advance registration is required; tickets cost $5 per child (ages 3-17).

- Bash will be held at Greene Square Park (400 4th Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids) and will offer school supplies.

- Only children with a ticket can collect school supplies. Free admission for adults and non-school age children. Space is limited.

Provides school supplies to students in need at the beginning of each school year through the Back-to-School Fair. Pre-registration is required, visit Facebook page for registration, registration deadline is on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Date of Event: Thursday, August 6, 2026, 3 pm-6 pm. Services include backpacks with supplies.
