Provides general medical care for veterans and their families. Services include checkups, prevention, diagnosis, treatment of diseases, immunizations and vaccinations, labs and blood work.

Health care for all ages, including obstetrical, pediatrics, geriatrics, general medical care, women's health, reproductive health, prenatal, obstetrics and gynecology, and radiology/ultrasound.

Follow-up visits for patients with diabetes, elevated blood lead levels, hypertension, behavioral health concerns, and other on-going health problems are also routine activities at the clinic.

Health education is integrated into each patient's visit. Nutrition, disease prevention and management are taught to patients individually and in groups. Educational follow-up, care coordination, management and peer education, including care for sexually transmitted diseases, latent tuberculosis, high lead levels, prenatal care, and care for chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and depression).

Specialist referrals for services not available at the clinic are made for all patients. Appointments for patients without insurance and/or limited income are made through Hope Medical Outreach Coalition volunteer physicians and facilities.

Offers free basic healthcare services via walk-in clinics at various community sites (Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, West Liberty, & Columbus Junction). Patients do not need insurance. At every clinic, services available include chronic disease management and medication refills, acute minor medical illnesses, general health education, and screening for hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol. At certain clinics, services offered are social work services, mental health help, HIV/HCV testing, flu shots, physical therapy assessments, dental screenings, and more. Provides hospital services to those in need. Services include general inpatient, outpatient, and emergency hospital services. Can also treat urgent care needs such as strains, sprains, sore throat, colds, flu, minor lacerations, minor fractures, and minor ailments.

Provides clinical health care services for people who have no health insurance or whose health insurance does not cover the services they need. Services include general examinations, medicine that is free or low cost, advice for patients regarding how to help themselves feel better, and help finding care at other clinics for more specialized services. The clinic is staffed volunteer doctors, nurses, social workers and others.

Critical access hospital with surgical, and lab services.

Outpatient clinic provides cardiac, orthopedic, urology, ENT, oncology, OB, wound care, and vascular care.

Radiology department includes ultrasounds, CT scans, mammograms, MRI, and nuclear medicine.

Other services include home visits to newborns, diabetic education, cancer support and information, wigs for chemotherapy patients, and discharge planning which includes support services for patients and families during hospitalization and upon discharge.

Services are provided regardless of ability to pay through a sliding fee discount program. Fees are calculated based on household size and documented annual income. All patients are eligible to apply for the sliding fee discount, even those with insurance.

Dental Clinic offers preventative dental services including: X-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

Pharmacy services offered to patients. Those eligible for the sliding fee program receive their medications at 30 to 50% below the retail market. Kohl's, Walgreens, Genoa, and Walmart fill all medications. Mobile Medical Clinic services, in which a van visits different locations to see patients.

HIV/STD testing provides confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.

Transportation program provides a limited number of cab vouchers.

Mental health services are provided in-house through a partnership with Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, as well as being referred out to collaborating behavioral health agencies.

Prenatal care for women.

Radiology has certified x-ray technicians to provide limited x-ray services.

Medication assistance programs help uninsured and underinsured patients apply to various pharmaceutical companies. Staff complete applications for patients to obtain their medication at an affordable cost.

Translation services offered to non-English speaking patients. Languages include Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Kurdish, Burmese, Karen, and Thai.
