Provides health screenings to medically underserved minority populations:

Participants will receive their results immediately after completing the screening. No additional information is required for the screenings. If a health problem is found, the client is referred to the nearest available health clinic.

Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association provides services for income-eligible children. Services include: Referrals to community resources and medical or dental care, EPSDT - Care for Kids care coordination and informing, Free lead testing and immunizations for children, Age-specific health education and individual follow-up on health care needs and referrals, Help to access professional dental care, Age-specific oral health education and screening, Dental care coordination services, Referrals to Maternal Health services, Assist with finding transportation, Developmental Screening for children ages 2 months thru 5 years, and Case management for children with identified needs. Clayton County VNA also identifies, coordinates, and provides needed services/referrals for proper growth and development for children 0-3 years with area Early ACCESS Program. The hawk-i Program offers Presumptive eligibility services for Medicaid or hawk-i income eligible children 0-19 who need immediate and temporary health or dental coverage.

I-Smile also serves WIC clients by providing dental screening, applying fluoride and helping coordinate dental appointments.

I-SmileT @ School is a dental program that provides at no-cost dental screenings, sealants, fluoride varnish and education for students. Because tooth decay can impact a student's ability to learn, eat, sleep, speak properly and build self-confidence, I-SmileT @ School services are provided during the school day and prevent kids from missing school for dental visits.
