Health education is integrated into each patient's visit. Nutrition, disease prevention and management are taught to patients individually and in groups. Educational follow-up, care coordination, management and peer education, including care for sexually transmitted diseases, latent tuberculosis, high lead levels, prenatal care, and care for chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and depression).

Specialist referrals for services not available at the clinic are made for all patients. Appointments for patients without insurance and/or limited income are made through Hope Medical Outreach Coalition volunteer physicians and facilities.

Offers sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment, HIV counseling and testing, communicable disease reporting and investigating, immunizations (including flu shots) for children and adults, Tuberculosis (TB) screening and treatment, and international travel information.

Provides Tuberculosis (TB) testing, as well as treatment and follow-up of active TB disease for Vermilion County residents.

Provides programs and services protect public health by reducing the burden of communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases. Services include breast and cervical cancer screenings (through the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program), tuberculosis screening, STI and HIV testing, and immunizations.

Tuberculosis screenings and follow-ups are provided by appointment.

A TB skin test requires two visits with a health care provider.

On the first visit the test is placed; on the second visit, the health care provider reads the test.

The TB skin test is performed by injecting a small amount of fluid (called tuberculin) into the skin on the lower part of the arm. A person given the tuberculin skin test must return within 48 to 72 hours to have a trained health care worker look for a reaction on the arm. The result depends on the size of the raised, hard area or swelling.

Certified nurse practitioners provide a wide variety of health care services to diagnose and treat men, women and adolescents, including: adult physical exams, behavioral health consultations, pregnancy testing and family planning, well woman exams, STD testing, HIV testing, TB screening and treatment and smoking cessation. The team also provides treatment for chronic health conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease and asthma.

Services include care for illness and injury, medication assistance, flu immunizations, TB screening, smoking cessation, women's health, mammograms, wellness checks, lab services, chiropractic, physical therapy, health planning, vision, dental services, pediatric care addressing the physical, emotional, and social health of children and adolescents, and podiatry services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of foot-related conditions.

Provides screenings to detect TB infection and monitors the presence of TB in Macon County. The TB test is read 48 hours after it is given. Case management is provided for people with active and inactive cases.
