Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital - Lincoln Campus

Rehabilitation facility for children and adults who have suffered a traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury or other injury or illness.

Rehabilitation services and programs include:

- Acute rehabilitation hospital provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services for children and adults who are recovering from traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, orthopedic injury, burns, neuromuscular disorders, and other disabling conditions.

- Aquatic physical therapy and exercise provides a warm water, fully-accessible pool which allows individuals to begin rehabilitation sooner and with less pain. Additional classes are also held regularly at Madonna ProActive Health and Fitness.

- Augmentative (Assisted) communication provides evaluation and treatment of communication disorders to assist persons who have difficulty speaking or using muscle groups to develop alternative means of communication.

- Brain injury rehabilitation provides intensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for persons with traumatic brain injury.

- Burn rehabilitation provides intensive inpatient rehabilitation for persons with thermal injuries, including both burns and frost bite.

- Driver rehabilitation provides evaluation and retraining for drivers after an injury or illness, and assessments for vehicle modification.

- Long term acute care hospital offers patients with complex medical conditions access to physical medicine and rehabilitation and daily visits by internal medicine physicians. Combined with an interdisciplinary team approach, this specialized care ensures that each patient's plan of care is targeted at achieving functional gains and independence. Licensed as a hospital and accredited by CARF, Madonna's LTACH offers treatment for acute illnesses, which require a longer time to recover than is generally provided in an acute care hospital.

- Long term care provides an intermediate nursing unit for persons with moderate or higher levels of medical needs; the program focuses on activities for daily living and recreation. Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours daily.

- Orthopedic rehabilitation offers interdisciplinary inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for persons who have had an amputation, joint replacement or multiple fractures.

- Pediatric rehabilitation provides intense inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for children, ages 1 month-18 years, experiencing impairment or disability due to illness or injury.

- Spinal cord injury program provides intense, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to children and adults suffering from spinal cord injuries to maximize independence.

- Stroke rehabilitation provides intense, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to those who have had cerebrovascular accidents (stroke).

- Subacute rehabilitation for children and adults who require one or two types of therapy for a specific condition, or who have a diagnosis for recovery.

- Vision rehabilitation for those that have vision and balance problems due to stroke, brain injury or other neurological illness or injury.

- Therapy Plus provides outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies, psychology, and therapeutic recreational services for children and adults. A variety of specialty services and clinics are also available.

- Ventilator assisted unit offers an alternative for ventilator-dependent patients.
