Face-to-face appointments in the Panhandle and telehealth appointments anywhere in Nebraska. Substance evaluations comply with State of Nebraska guidelines and with Standardized Model requirements (if any court involvement).

Accepts Nebraska Medicaid and probation sliding-scale vouchers, multiple insurances. Region 1 adult clients without insurance are eligible for (BHA) sliding fee scale substance abuse evaluations in the counties of Sioux, Dawes, and Sheridan.

Mental health services including clinical social work, individual therapy, family therapy, substance abuse evaluations and counseling.


Telehealth is available for those who are unable to attend in-person sessions or who live in Nebraska but are located in rural areas.

Offers a new treatment for mental illness which involves the assessment of clinical imbalances through the patient's medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests. Functional medicine also looks into the genetic makeup of a patient and environmental factors such as diet, physical activities, traumatic experience, and exposure to toxic substances.

The goal is to provide clients with the skills necessary to surmount a problem, and/or link to the services that may help prevent a recurrence of the crisis that caused them to seek out services.

Telehealth is available for patients that have a non-emergency condition, giving patients access to medical experts without having to come inside a healthcare facility. Allows patients to see a provider using a computer and/or mobile device from the privacy of their home or at the Whirling Thunder Wellness Center office.

Offers psychotherapy and medication management services to those in need. Also offers mental health assessments to help diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
