Has a parent, stepparent or spouse who served in the armed forces of the U.S. and died of a service-connected disability; or died subsequent to discharge as a result of injury or illness sustained while a member of the armed forces; or is permanently and totally disabled as a result of military service; or while a member of the armed forces of the US is classified MIA or as a POW during armed hostilities.
