Iowa Foster and Adoptive Parents Association
Offers to empower, support and advocate for foster, adoptive and kinship families across Iowa. IFAPA provides support, training and resources to promote safety, permanency and well-being for Iowa's children. Information and referrals are provided as well as parenting materials and skills classes. This is a private, non-profit organization. This is an affiliate of the National Foster Parents Association.

Cradle of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center - Fort Madison
Provides free and confidential services to pregnant women, their families, and individuals with young children. Services include pregnancy testing, pregnancy counseling, limited ultrasound, ongoing pregnancy support, referrals for community support services, support after an abortion, the Earn While You Learn Program, fatherhood mentoring, and a maternity home.
Also, provides childbirth education classes to prepare prospective mothers, birth partners, and family members for the labor and birth process, covering topics such as anatomy, breathing and relaxation techniques, delivery options, and postpartum care.
Additionally, resources and guidance are available to support economic self-sufficiency, including vocational evaluation, training in marketable skills, and referrals for employment opportunities tailored to those facing emotional challenges, substance abuse issues, or disabilities.
