The municipal pool provides general swimming water recreational activities for the public. In addition, specific programs are offered including: swim lessons for people with disabilities, parent-infant/toddler and pre-school swim lessons, Red Cross swim lessons (Levels 1-6), Red Cross lifeguard training and water safety classes, and water exercise sessions.

Cresco Recreation Department offers a facility for people of all ages to participate in walking, swimming, exercise, basketball, volleyball, and other fitness activities. Facility includes a zero-entry swimming pool; a walking-running track that circles exercise equipment; a pair of basketball hoops; a gymnasium and stage; rooms for aerobics, dance, tumbling, wrestling, and other activities; a lower level with a golf driving range; softball and baseball hitting cages; rooms for arts and crafts; other activities for public use. Offers programs focusing on disease and injury prevention for older adults and caregivers.

Clinic Programs: Provides comprehensive foot care, health assessments, health screenings (which include blood pressure, cholesterol/triglycerides, glucose, bone density), ear wax removal, medication, and safety checks to inform participants about personal health risks and the things they can do to lower risks and optimize health.

Health and Fitness Programs: Offers fitness and health education classes and physical activity programs, conducted for community, church, and social groups. Programs cover the areas of illness and injury prevention, physical activity, nutrition, and mental wellness. Individuals are encouraged to take measures that decrease risk, promote optimum health, and encourage independent living.
