South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department offers many activities for seniors, adults and children. The Department manages many parks and offers programs including martial arts, aquatics, middle school and teen clubs, fitness, sports, trips, dance, cooking, hobbies, workshops, and summer camps.

Cresco Recreation Department offers a facility for people of all ages to participate in walking, swimming, exercise, basketball, volleyball, and other fitness activities. Facility includes a zero-entry swimming pool; a walking-running track that circles exercise equipment; a pair of basketball hoops; a gymnasium and stage; rooms for aerobics, dance, tumbling, wrestling, and other activities; a lower level with a golf driving range; softball and baseball hitting cages; rooms for arts and crafts; other activities for public use. Provides the HCC Sports Complex. It is a 34-acre complex home to baseball, basketball, walking path, skate park, and playground.

Recreational programming includes baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, spring/fall soccer, Tae Kwon Do, cheerleading, baton, Zumba, and yoga.

Social programming includes Kids Fun Club, summer day camps, neighborhood playground programs, and building rentals for family/local gatherings.

Offers a wide variety of services to both residents and nonresidents of Dundee Township. Some of the facilities and services offered include two fitness centers, two golf courses, two outdoor swimming pools and an indoor pool, Randall Oaks Zoo and 40 park sites and facilities.

Provides activities that are centered around a weekly theme. A typical day includes, active group game, crafts, clubs, free play, 30-minute break time with age-appropriate math and reading activities. Youth leaders have specialized training prior to start of camp and are CPR /First Aid certified. Children bring a lunch daily.

Provides park and recreational services to the residents of Ames. The Department manages 40 parks and offers almost 200 programs and activities throughout the year. Programs include swim lessons, fitness and wellness classes, youth and adult sports, and more. Offers a Medical Assistance Program (MAP), driving services for individuals needing to get to medical appointments, lock box installations (secure emergency access into homes), and smoke and CO detector checks/installations/battery replacements through the Batavia Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

- MAP: Payment assistance for prescription medication co-pays and deductibles, annual stipend for dental services and hearing aid battery replacements.

Offers nutritious home cooked meals provided by Golden Meals are available to help promote healthy eating and reduce isolation by encouraging fellowship.
