Provides abuse and crisis intervention services to those going through a domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sex trafficking situation. Services include a family violence crisis line, counseling or counseling referrals for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, emergency shelter and transportation, peer support groups, and child advocacy.

Protection order assistance, criminal justice/legal advocacy, and medical advocacy are also available to those who may need it.

Support group for victims of domestic violence. Open to anyone who is experiencing or has experienced abuse in an intimate relationship, including individuals who are still involved in the abusive relationship. Transportation available.

SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABUSE CRIME VICTIM SERVICES | RIVERVIEW CENTER

Provides free and confidential sexual assault/abuse and crime victim services to anyone that has been sexually assaulted/abused. Off-site/out-of-office services provided include trauma-informed services, counseling/therapy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, social services and basic needs advocacy/case management, safety planning, 24/7 crisis helplines, and 24/7 crisis intervention at hospitals/law enforcement. Service plans based upon services client wants to receive.

Provides support, empowerment, and recovery to survivors of sexual violence (and the people that love them). Counselors assist in the process of recognizing how sexual violence has impacted the survivor's feelings, relationships, self-esteem, and ability to function while working with them to find healing.

Survivors may choose to receive individual, family, couple, and/or group counseling. In addition, support groups are offered to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, teens, and parents.

ADVOCACY | CLOVE ALLIANCE

Offers medical and legal advocacy. Confidential, around-the-clock legal and medical advocacy is available for survivors and their families.

Medical Advocacy: Clove Alliance advocates are always available to support survivors, their families, and friends during a visit to the emergency room for a medical examination or evidence collection. Advocates can also accompany clients to any follow-up medical appointments, help them receive reimbursement for medical costs associated with the crime, and answer questions on the following:

- Medical exams.

- Evidence collection (rape kit).

- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs).

- Pregnancy and emergency contraception.

- Medications.

- Follow-up medical care.

- Crime Victims Compensation through the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

- Referrals.

- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE).

SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINER | WINNESHIEK MEDICAL CENTER

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program provides care for sexual assault victims. Nurses have been specifically trained to provide a through and sensitive examination and assessment of victims of sexual assault. They provide emotional support; a physical examination and wellness check; collection of medical-forensic evidence; assistance with reporting the crime to police, when requested (mandatory reporting for children); assistance with concerns about sexually transmitted infection and pregnancy; assistance with safety planning; and development of a medical follow-up plan.

Provides counseling services to individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence. Counseling is also available to families, friends of the client. Assists anyone who is experiencing or has experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. Operates a 24/7 crisis hotline to assist in a crisis. Also offers an inclusive, safe, and welcoming space where survivors can access a range of services in one location, including crisis intervention and long-term supportive care.

- ADVOCACY: Skilled guidance in the aftermath of a crisis to aid in safety planning, assessing immediate needs, identifying

resources, and navigating the various systems survivors may encounter.

Offers comprehensive services to support individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and homelessness. Services include crisis intervention counseling, legal, medical, and personal advocacy, safe shelter, safety planning, transitional and emergency housing, and community education and outreach.

Specialized programs address domestic violence intervention, helping offenders understand and take responsibility for their actions, develop healthy relationships, and learn conflict resolution and stress management skills.

Advocacy is provided with landlords, schools, employers, and other professionals to secure rights, prevent eviction or utility shut-offs, and ensure safety.

Child-focused initiatives include sexual assault prevention programs that educate children about personal boundaries, recognizing inappropriate behavior, and seeking help, as well as support groups for individuals affected by child abuse, offering emotional support, resources, and information. CIAC staff and volunteers travel to meet victims to accommodate their needs. All services are free, voluntary, confidential, and available to all without discrimination.

Hotline staff are accessible via telephone, email, chat, and text to ensure safety, provide referrals for medical, legal, and emotional needs, and offer advocacy and other related services.
