Provides abuse and crisis intervention services to those in need. Services include a crisis line available 24/7, advocacy for individuals, support groups for adults and children, shelter for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault and referrals to community supports.

Can also provide protection order application assistance and legal advocacy.

Client advocacy is available to help support individuals through crisis, such as assistance in applying for Department of Health and Human Services economic assistance programs, finding a new place to live, or for emotional support and talking through options.

Legal advocacy provides assistance with filing domestic violence and harassment protection orders, legal referrals, help in finding legal representation, and court accompaniment.

Medical advocacy offers referrals and accompaniment as needed.

Bilingual advocacy provides immigration information for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. To reach a Spanish-speaking advocate, contact the Spanish line or stop in at the Crete office to speak with a Spanish-speaking advocate.

Information and referrals provided regarding assistance outside of Hope Crisis Center.

Riverview Center provides a free, confidential Hotline available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week for victims of sexual assault - individuals can call with questions, in crisis, or if needing to talk to an advocate. The Hotline provides emotional support and information regarding the Sexual Assault Examination Kit procedures, STD testing/treatment, and other medical choices. An advocate is available 24 hours a day to help with all emergency room interactions related to the assault. The advocate can also accompany a survivor to a police interview, assist with orders of protection, provide case updates, and attend all meetings and court proceedings with law enforcement and the prosecuting attorney’s office with or on behalf of the survivor. Other sexual assault services include: Legal Advocacy provides legal advocates to serve as a liaison between the survivor and the criminal justice system to ensure that the survivor’s rights are protected; and Counseling for survivors and non-offending family members in individual and group settings .

Offers direct services and advocacy to deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Program provides legal, medical and one-on-one DV/SA counseling.
