Provides Naloxone for the public and any community agency or organization who wishes to stock or distribute naloxone at no charge for the prevention of opioid overdose.

Provides an online resource for individuals seeking assistance with opioid or other drug addictions. The website includes information on Medication for Addictions Treatment (MAT) and features a map to locate nearby providers contracted with the State of Iowa. While the online list is not exhaustive, additional facility options can be found at yourlifeiowa.org/facility-locator. The platform also emphasizes access to resources such as opioid antidotes, including Narcan, which can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and help prevent fatalities. The service is open to anyone.

Substance use treatments, including:

- Narcan and harm reduction supplies

- Residential Treatment: Rehabilitation services focusing on life skills and recovery.

- Outpatient services: Up to 24 hours per week. Consists of planning, ongoing assessment, psycho-educational and therapy groups, individual counseling, continued recovery plan.

- Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR): Methadone, Buprenorphine, Vivitrol.

Distributes NARCAN to those in need when harm reduction measures are needed. 

Provides counseling and other adult, and child and adolescent outpatient mental health programs, first responder suicide prevention, substance use treatment, mobile crisis response and offers Naloxone.

Also helps to coordinate services with other community care providers.

Provides the following, infectious disease investigation, patient education, and limited follow-up tests, information on international travel, STD/STI education, testing, treatment, referral, and partner notification for specific STD's (including gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV), Tuberculosis (TB) testing, initial chest x-rays, laboratory tests, and medical evaluations for positive TB reactors, Tuberculosis medications and follow up testing may be provided as medically indicated, Hepatitis C testing, harm reduction services (including access to sterile syringes, safe disposal of syringes, other injection supplies, education, and referrals), Naloxone (Narcan) education and distribution, Fentanyl test strips and male and receptive partner condoms.

Provides health education services like blood pressure screenings which are offered on a walk in basis, fluoride varnish applications, height and weight checks, lead screenings, the Drug Overdose Prevention Program (DOPP), and can provide Narcan to those needing the opioid overdose reversal drug. Can also provide health educational materials on topics such as hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiac risk assessment, smoking cessation, and screenings for sexually transmitted diseases.

Provides syringes for safe injection practices, education, counseling, and support to overall health and reduction of the spread of disease. Needles are typically 27-29 gauge, but 18-20 gauge may be available from time to time. Trans persons are welcome to use this exchange for Hormone Replacement Therapy purposes. Also offers drug testing strips for Fentanyl and Xylazine, and sharps containers so that used needles may be safely disposed of. Narcan (Naloxone) is also available upon request and after individual completes a brief training on how to use it.

Other harm reduction services include:

-- Safer injection materials, including: syringes, cottons, cookers, alcohol pads, waters, and band-aids

-- Safer smoking materials, including: pipe covers, copper filters, and alcohol pads

-- Wound care counseling, provides education to recognize and prevent abscesses, cellulitis, and other wounds

-- Hepatitis C and HIV rapid testing (results within minutes)

-- Overdose Prevention: Narcan kits and education

-- Drug testing strips for both Fentanyl and Xylazine

If supplies are needed after hours, they can be accessed through the vending option on the south side of the building.  If supplies need to be delivered, clients must fill out the Harm Reduction Supply Delivery form (deliveries are limited to Champaign and Vermilion Counties).
