Provides a listing of medication and sharps disposal locations by county for the state of Illinois. Disposal sites collect non-controlled, non-hazardous medications. This includes prescribed or over-the-counter vitamins/supplements, homeopathic remedies, creams, oils, ointments, suppositories, syringes, needles with attached tubing, lancets, and other materials. Controlled and/or illegal drugs may be accepted, depending on the site’s specific DEA regulations. Check with the local site disposal program beforehand.

Offers pharmacy services and a Drug Drop Off Box for anyone who wants to dispose of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs Rx or over the counter.

Provides a medication disposal collection box at the department building. Items that CANNOT be accepted are, liquids, needles, and glass.

Provides a safe, secure disposal box for all drugs (prescription and non-prescription). Drugs can be dropped off year-round in drug disposal boxes. Items that CANNOT be placed in disposal boxes are needles/sharps, liquids, inhalers, aerosol cans, IV bags/tubes, and thermometers. 

Provides medication and drug disposal site located in the lobby of 413 North Mill Street Mon-Fri 8 am to 4 pm. After hours disposal may be possible by calling dispatch at (815) 844-0911 but wait time varies based on police calls pending.

Drop off box is available at police station for any unused and/or unneeded prescription drugs. Does not accept the following items:
- Liquids/ointments/creams/lotions
- Inhalers
- Needles or other sharp objects
- Thermometers
- Aerosol cans
- Loose pills.

Nebraska MEDS, a coalition of state and community partners, is dedicated to educating patients about safe disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medications. In addition to educational work, the coalition supports disposal programs that allow residents to dispose of unused and leftover medications.

Residents may place unwanted, unneeded, or expired medication in the secured disposal box located inside the front entrance of the Shorewood Police Department.

Provides a in-school drug prevention and education program for students. Services explain the consequences of drug use as well as skills and strategies for not getting involved with drugs. It begins with critical skills like peer refusal skills, decision-making, goal setting, and managing emotions. 

Offers medication disposal safety services for unused and expired prescription medication. DisposeRx is a product which when added to leftover medications with water, forms a gel which permanently captures the prescription drugs which can then be thrown in the household trash.

Offers pharmacy services for those in need who have a current prescription. Over-the-counter medications may also be offered as well as a drop box for medication disposal.
