Accepts donations of new or gently-used items are needed for our clothing and household pantry. Items need to be clean, in good condition, in working order, and include all pieces. Damaged or broken items may be turned away. Donations should not be left outside.

**Please Note: If you are bringing more than 5 boxes or bags of donations to the Bidwell Pantry, please schedule a delivery time. Contact Missy Reams by email at [email protected] or by phone at 515-244-6251 option 5 to schedule a delivery time.

Items dropped off at The Home Connection cannot exceed 2 bags unless calling ahead.

Carol's Closet can help veterans, seniors, and persons with disabilities with household items including furniture and bedding, hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs (including motorized), shower chairs, commodes and adult hygiene items. In addition, Carol's Closet can help families with newborn baby clothes to size 6 children's clothes, diapers, new cribs and car seats, baby essentials, and household items including dishes, furniture and bedding. Carol's Closet also has a handicap accessible van and standing lift for loan with a donation. Carol's Closet accepts donations of good and has opportunities for people to volunteer.

The Closet Door program is focused on the needs of the homeless community in downtown Omaha.


Anyone is able to ask for clothing, basic hygiene products, and other essential items.

Provides personal care items including laundry detergent, toilet paper, shampoo, bar soap, dish soap, and toothpaste for those in need.
Decorah Community Food Pantry provides free food including canned products, meats, produce and dry goods; household items including cleaning supplies, paper products; and personal hygiene products may available. Donations of products and cash accepted. Individuals and families may visit once a week. People select their own items amount based on family size. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Offers to resettle individuals who have been forced to flee their home country because of war and persecution. The program provides newly arriving refugees with intensive support services needed to achieve basic self-sufficiency as contributing members of the community, including housing, employment and educational placement.
