Registry information is used to locate a father in the event that his child is being placed for adoption. The site is designed to protect his confidentiality and rights as a father.

Interested parties may also search the registry, but must register before viewing the registry. These include:

- A child's mother or father.

- A child welfare agency to whom the mother has expressed an interest in making an adoption plan.

- The potential adoptive parents.

- The attorney for any one of the above parties.
