Iowa Department of Health and Human Services - Bremer County
Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
Mid-Sioux Opportunity Outreach Office - Ida County
Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households.
LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th.

Bikers Against Child Abuse - East Central Chapter
Provides several individualized services in order to deter child abuse. Services provided:
- When first contacted, several members of BACA will ride to the child's house and present the child with a patch, stickers, and a photograph of the child with their new biker family. Two bikers are assigned to the child as their primary contacts.
- If abuse or harassment continues, members will create a presence at the home, being visible at times when the family may be most vulnerable.
- Court appearances are also available. Assigned bikers will appear in order to provide support for the child and reduce fear about testifying against their abuser.
Other services available:
- Providing escorts if the child feels unsafe.
- Riding by the child's home on a regular basis.
- Staying with children if they are alone or frightened.
- On-site support if needed, for the child's reassurance.

Non-medical in home care services including medication reminders, bathing, toileting, dressing, homecare-light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and companion care for socialization and engagement.

Provides counseling services to individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence. Counseling is also available to families, friends of the client. Counseling is available immediately after an assault or at any later date. Counseling sessions can provide a place for survivors to express their feelings, thoughts, and fears.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Iowa County
Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks.
Participants will gain knowledge to improve food quality and learn techniques that support the protection and utilization of food products. The program includes a 6-hour course and certification exam, offering the opportunity to become a certified Food Protection Manager through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Open to individuals in the restaurant and food service industry, the training also serves as a resource for those involved in commercial food production activities such as farms, aquaculture facilities, and other food-related ventures.
