Accepts donations of new or gently used items, such as clothing, grooming supplies or household items, at the Donation Center. Call in advance for larger donation items or groups.
MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care
Hospice program provides support and care for persons with an advanced illness and with limited time to live. The goal is to provide comfort and minimize pain and stress for the terminally ill and their loved ones. Hospice care is designed to help the individual remain in the home, stay as active as possible, express and accept their feelings, ease pain, control symptoms, help the family care for their loved one at home, and manage practical tasks (i.e., running errands, preparing meals, getting medications, supplies, and equipment).
Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House provides a comfortable environment for those who have an end-stage terminal illness with a limited prognosis and who are not seeking active treatment for cure; provides pain and symptom management, respite care, and routine care for patients and their family or significant other.
Early Head Start Child Development Center - Central City Tiny Bison Preschool
Comprehensive child development program serving children 6 weeks to 3 years old.
Staff make visits to the homes of Early Head Start children to assist parents in meeting their family goals.
Parents have the opportunity to be part of a parent committee and/or to volunteer in the center.
Early Head Start provides educational activities through the High/Scope curriculum.
All diapers, wipes, baby food and formula needed during the day are provided free of charge.
West Central Community Action Head Start
Administrative support to Head Start sites in ten counties and Early Head Start center based sites. Programs provide an educational preschool program for young children and their families and children with a disability.
Christopher Rural Health Planning Corporation - Mt. Vernon Community Health Center
Provides a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator to help manage diabetes and eating disorders. In-person at Christopher location, but via telehealth for other locations.
HACAP - Jones County Office
Offers to assist households with window air conditioners (renters or homeowners) and also do some repairs to central air conditioners (homeowners). Must meet income guidelines for the program and have an application completed. Must have a medical need to be eligible for the program. Program runs May through September.

Adams Central Early Childhood Center
Preschool. All classes are inclusive and offer many learning opportunities for children ages 3-5. Families that live in the district may apply when their child is three years old prior to July 31st. Students who qualify for special education and/or who are at risk will be accepted first. Others will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Only students living in the Adams Central school district will be accepted.

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission
CIH conducts an intake and assessment for households experiencing homelessness in Champaign County, IL. Based on eligibility and priority, CIH links households experiencing homelessness with shelter, transitional, and permanent housing program options when there are program vacancies. In addition, CIH can make referrals to local community resources based on the needs of individuals served. Individuals and families can request a CIH at partner agencies.
