Provides comprehensive services dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, including CPR/first aid training, professional healthcare education, patient support, and public advocacy for heart-healthy policies. They aim to improve cardiovascular health through research, education, and community resources.

Annual events include Heart Walk, Heart Ball, and Go Red for Women Luncheon. 

Provides public health services to Winneshiek County residents and will make referrals as needed. Services include health education, CPR, Stop the Bleed training, childhood/adolescent/adult immunizations, testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections and rapid HIV testing, blood pressure checks, and much more.

Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines. LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th. May be able to help with repairs on a furnace but cannot replace the furnace. Keep checking back on the furnace program as it is dependent on funding that changes frequently.

Provides customized training, education, community resources and connectivity, as well as a mentor for those served working to become self-sufficient. Participants will be preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce and secure employment with a livable wage.  The program targets specific skills and benchmarks around employment preparation, healthy relationships at home and work, financial literacy, and career readiness to work toward employment or preparation for employment in a desired position.

Offers home health care nursing services, including home visits.  Also supervises personal care aides and coordinates with other agencies.
