Administers immigration and naturalization functions and establishes immigration services policies and priorities. It handles immigrant visa petitions, naturalization petitions, asylum and refugee applications and changes in green card status. Under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), battered immigrants can petition for legal status in the United States without relying on abusive US citizen or legal permanent resident spouses, parents or children to sponsor them.

Buses act as free cooling and warming stations during extreme weather during normal business hours. Anyone who needs a place to stay warm or cool is encouraged to use these buses as warming/cooling centers or to ride a bus to a safe location.

Stations:

• Warming: When the wind chill is zero or below, rides on all local fixed route buses are free
• Cooling: When the heat index is 100 degrees or higher, rides on all local fixed route buses are free

Off-site/out-of-office services provided include trauma-informed services, counseling/therapy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, social services and basic needs advocacy/case management, safety planning, 24/7 crisis helplines, and 24/7 crisis intervention at hospitals/law enforcement.
