Provides residential and vocational support services to persons with mental and physical disabilities. Includes HCBS waiver programs, supported community living, transportation, job coaching and placement, CDAC, medication management, independent living skills, and payee services for clients.

Provides a drive-through food pantry that is open weekly to those in need. Clients are allowed to use the pantry once a month.

Provides mental health and substance abuse treatment services for children, adolescents and adults. Also offers therapy, medication management, case management for children, adolescents and adults. Offers a full array of crisis intervention services for adults, including an Access Center, crisis stabilization/observation unit, and a mental health drop in center.

Offers an information line operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Provides health information, triage, physician and service referrals over the phone for individuals in need of medical advice. Can also refer individuals to medical locations and urgent care centers.  Support groups offered through Iowa Health Systems: for example, breast feeding education & support group, parents of children with ADD, grief support for parents whose child died, and others.

Offers donated clothing, books/CDs/DVDs, household items, and furniture for sale to raise funds to support the humanitarian work of the Society conferences in the area.

Provides a no-kill facility. Primary goals are to reduce pet overpopulation and find forever  homes for the sick, injured, abused, neglected, and abandoned animals in Decatur and Macon County that come into the facility. Offers discount spay/neuter program year round to low income, unemployed pet owners, senior citizens, and qualifying persons in need. TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program for feral cats helps to reduce cat overpopulation.

Transportation via business aircraft at no cost for cancer patients traveling to and from cancer centers.

Family member or attendant may accompany an ambulatory cancer patient.

Patient must be ambulatory, no oxygen or IV, able to climb stairway. Special in-flight services cannot be provided.

Maintains official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state tax liens, military records, birth, divorce and death records/certificates. Offers marriage licenses and accepts Passport applications with photo services. Military Records for tax exemptions and benefits also available.

Grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives with hope, strength, and joy.

Provides emergency food on a short-term basis for individuals or families experiencing food insecurity. The food bank may be used 4 times per calendar year (usage limit of once per month). 

Locally administered welfare program which provides monthly financial assistance to persons who do not have adequate income or resources to provide for their own basic needs. To qualify, the individual must meet certain financial and residential criteria, and not be eligible for any other state or federal assistance programs.

Provides augmentative and alternative communication options through assistive technology, which enables children and youth with disabilities to participate more fully in all aspects of life.
