Respite program designed to relieve the stress of daily child rearing for parents and caregivers. TAB is held on several Fridays a month from 6 pm-8 pm for all children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

Children are cared for in a safe environment as they enjoy crafts, exercise and games, and learn about healthy life choices from visiting community organizations, while moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, and caregivers are able to take a few hours for themselves and recharge. Families of all incomes qualify.

Some applicants may qualify for the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP), where an eligible client pays a percentage of their income, receives a monthly benefit towards their utility bill, and receives a reduction in overdue payments for every on-time payment they make by the bill due date. Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.

Provides a program that offers equestrian therapy service will work with therapeutic benefit. Individuals with a variety of special needs can be served through Sports Therapy Service. Iowa Thunder Empowerment provides mental well being services mainly for youth but will serve adults as well. Tri-States Thunder Vets is a service for veterans. There are volunteer opportunities including leading and side-walking with horses, no experience needed.

Offers a before and after school program. Services provide children individual and group tutoring, as well as mentoring services to decrease school suspensions and to address the mental health and academic needs. Children are given a snack and provided with homework assistance, life skills, and recreational activities.

The WIC and SNAP outreach programs seek to assure that limited-English-proficient immigrants and refugees eligible for WIC and SNAP benefits can successfully access these programs administered by IDHS.

State level services including completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits if eligible, applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, and waivers of tuition.

Federal level services including providing and/or completing Veteran Administration forms for claims relating to but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, vocational rehab, burial allowance, grave markers or headstones, educational benefits, VA home loans, government life insurance, character of service upgrades, and VA health care.
