HACAP - Waterfront

Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines. LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th. May be able to help with repairs on a furnace but cannot replace the furnace. Keep checking back on the furnace program as it is dependent on funding that changes frequently.

Offers delivery of refrigerated meals for private pay or Medicaid customers. Meals are delivered directly to a customer's doorstep. Clients choose from up to 30 different meals (general wellness, diabetic friendly, heart friendly) and receive 10-14 meals per delivery. Each meal has been designed by a team of registered dieticians and is prepared in a USDA inspected kitchen.

Home visits provide guidance and support in parenting and many aspects including discipline. The frequency of visits are based on each family’s needs, strengths, and circumstances with visits typically lasting 60 minutes. There is no cost to participate in this program.
