Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership - Ord
Family resource program to support parents in educating and nurturing their children. The program provides parents with opportunities to move toward self-sufficiency by working with other community organizations. Health and mental health services are also provided to participants.
Program helps parents better understand their child’s stages of development with individualized visits in the home. The weekly visits are 90 minutes in length and are designed to meet the needs of each family. Staff will assist families in planning activities that encourage the child’s growth. Social activities will be held twice monthly to provide the opportunity to interact with your child and other families.

Provides a program for youth who have limited or no prior work experience and are experiencing barriers to employment to have an opportunity to participate in a paid work experience with local businesses. Work experiences are typically 4-12 weeks in length, but may be longer depending on the needs of the participant.

Unlimited Services - Manchester
Cradle of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center - Burlington
Provides free and confidential services to pregnant women, their families, and individuals with young children. Services include pregnancy testing, pregnancy counseling, limited ultrasound, ongoing pregnancy support, referrals for community support services, support after an abortion, the Earn While You Learn Program, fatherhood mentoring, and a maternity home.
Also, provides childbirth education classes to prepare prospective mothers, birth partners, and family members for the labor and birth process, covering topics such as anatomy, breathing and relaxation techniques, delivery options, and postpartum care.
Additionally, resources and guidance are available to support economic self-sufficiency, including vocational evaluation, training in marketable skills, and referrals for employment opportunities tailored to those facing emotional challenges, substance abuse issues, or disabilities.

Scotts Bluff County Offices
County level services provide direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service and must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Scotts Bluff or Banner County.
State level services do not require wartime service and include the following: completes applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, and waivers of tuition.
Federal level services - provides and/or completes Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to: service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave Markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.
DCFS - DeKalb
Offers to assist a relative caregiver who wants to obtain guardianship through probate court of a relative's child living in the home of the caregiver. This includes
- Educating and helping the caregiver negotiate the probate court system.
- Assisting caregivers to obtain required documents.
- Arranging for legal counsel in counties where legal counsel is necessary.
EFSP caseworkers meet with the relative caregiver monthly until guardianship has been obtained or until other services have been provided. These services can include crisis intervention, applying for benefits, working with local schools for the child's enrollment, and referral to a range of needed services that the caregiver may have to help meet the basic needs of the family.
McLean County Unit 5 - Normal
Offers special education services to children with disabilities ages 3 through graduation or through age 22. Students are identified through a full and individual evaluation and individualized education plan conference process. Students are referred through their school for social, emotional, and academic problems which significantly interfere with the student's progress in school. Prior to the evaluation and placement, a parent must be involved and give consent. Children may not be evaluated or placed without this parental permission. Children may be referred by the child's parent, teacher, or other individual who knows the child and his/her difficulties. Direct referrals by individuals outside the school building should contact the building principal. School psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, and other relate.

Provides housing counseling on the topics of pre-purchase home buyer education, budget and credit workshops and counseling, post-purchase counseling, repairs for homes, delinquency and foreclosure prevention counseling.
