-- Discovery: Helps to learn about a client's strengths and interests through observation, conversation, and spending time with clients to help find jobs that fit their goals. Family and friends are also interviewed to learn about a client's likes, dislikes, and strengths. Two home visits and a community visit are conducted.
-- Job Development: Employment Specialists teach social and communication skills needed to be successful at work. They support with touring businesses, job shadowing, and finding a job match. Also provide help creating a resume to give to potential employers. May begin with volunteering so that clients can gain experience and grow skills.
-- Employment Support: After a client is hired, Employment Support develops accommodations and supports for the job. Employment Support forms a relationship with the employer and supports the client to expand job roles. Provides initial job coaching for 2-4 weeks.

Provides a utility assistance program to households who do not qualify for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) but are in need of help with their utility bills.

Siouxland Mental Health Crisis Center
Crisis stabilization residential services are short-term services (up to 5 days) provided in a comfortable environment. Helps to stabilize and reintegrate the individual back into the community.
Crisis stabilization residential services are designed for voluntary individuals who are in need of a safe, secure environment but less intensive and restrictive than an inpatient hospital setting.

VNA Health Care - Joliet
Provides therapists and medical providers offering mental and behavioral health services to children, teens, and adults. Therapists work one-on-one with clients to evaluate and address issues such as depression, addiction, generalized anxiety disorder, or other behavioral disorders through counseling sessions. Nurse practitioners and psychiatrists can prescribe and monitor medications and provide therapy.
Batavia Park District - Eastside Community Center
Provides before and after school activities in a supervised setting. Daily activities offered are gym activities, science, arts and crafts, outdoor play time, and homework tutoring.
Healing Hearts & Families
Offers safe shelter, mental health counseling, and peer support groups for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Assistance with protection/harassment orders, medical advocacy, and transportation is also available. Crisis hotline available 24 hours.
Arc of the Quad Cities Area, The - Moline Opportunity Center
Assistive technology services provide alternatives to individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities, who find independence challenging at work, at home, or in the community. Provides evaluations and recommendations, assistance in obtaining funding for equipment, training for the individual and their primary caregiver(s), follow-up, and equipment maintenance. Staff will travel to home, facility, etc.

Community Crisis Center
Provides assessment and individual and group counseling to those who have been the perpetrators of abuse. The 3 main service components are:
Partner Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive in current or past intimate partner relationships.
Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive to other adults who are NOT their intimate partners.
Caring Dads/Nurturing Moms, counseling for parents (biological, step, or common law) who have exposed their children to domestic violence, either as witnesses to the abuse of the other parent, and/or as victims themselves.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension - Hamilton County
North Fayette Valley Community Coalition
Provides mentoring services to youth. Program matches students in the North Fayette Valley Community School District with an adult mentor. The focus is to provide youth with positive adult role models and reduce drug and alcohol use among youth through the development of a relationship with a caring adult. Adult mentors are asked to spend four to six hours per month with their youth mentee pursuing activities that they choose together. In addition, the program typically offers a group social/recreational activity for all participants every other month.
Mentors are over 18 years old and have completed a series of background checks. In addition, all mentors receive an initial two-hour training before being matched with a youth and are provided with subsequent trainings throughout the year on a variety of topics.
Waukon Wellness Center
Offers fitness classes, including cardio, chisel, senior circuit, cardio kick, fitness mix, total body conditioning, yoga, zumba, YogaSculpt, group cycling and circuit challenge. The facilities include cardio and strength equipment; basketball, volleyball, tennis, and racquetball courts.

Provides a variety of programs, activities, and facilities for local residents of all ages Programs and activities include athletics, aquatics, martial arts, youth programs, winter activities, arts fairs, mini golf, carousel, boat rentals, special events and recreation.

Offers job training for older adults. Training is at public and nonprofit organizations, such as housing agencies, food banks, libraries, schools, senior centers, and childcare centers.
UIC Division of Specialized Care For Children - Springfield Regional Office
Guides families through their child’s journey with a medical condition. Works with doctors, schools and community groups to create a seamless support system.
Care coordination team works together with families to develop a plan of care that addresses a child’s medical, social, behavioral, educational and financial needs. Care coordination is free for all children who have eligible medical conditions, regardless of their family’s income level.
Care coordination can include finding specialized medical care, helping families understand their child’s diagnosis and medical treatment plan, explaining insurance benefits and attending school meetings.
Helps children who are medically fragile remain in their family home rather than a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
Assists with:
- Finding specialized medical care
- Making sure families understand their child’s diagnosis and medical treatment plan
- Helping families understand their insurance benefits and maximize their coverage
- Attending IEP /504 Plan school meeting
- Connecting families with financial support, grants and other community resources
- Preparing for the transition to adulthood
Washington County Health Department
Screening services are provided to area preschools and, upon request, to public and private schools for school age children. Hearing screening is also available for adults.
