Offers a clothing pantry to anyone in need. Items are limited based on family size. Services include clothing for infants, youth individuals, and adults. Shoes, winter gear and accessories may also be available. 

Drug and alcohol counseling assists clients with overcoming challenges and changes related to ceasing substance use. Drug and alcohol evaluations for adolescents and adults are also a provided service utilizing the Nebraska Standard Reporting Format.

Maintains county parks and recreation areas and provides hunter safety classes, camping, fishing and boating information. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available through county parks and outdoor wildlife areas.

Offers a full array of crisis intervention services for adults, including an Access Center, crisis stabilization/observation unit, and a mental health drop in center.

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) for children ages 0 to 6 who have experienced interpersonal violence. Uses behavior-based strategies, play and verbal interpretation as therapeutic interventions. The focus is on improving child-caregiver interactions through play. The therapist acts as a bridge or interpreter between the child and parent.

Circle of Security Parent Training is an eight-week program based on years of research about how to best support and strengthen parent-child relationships. It is designed to help parents give their children a feeling of security and confidence so their children explore, learn, grow and build positive relationships.

Connections, a Project Harmony program, works with schools and health care professionals to identify children in grades K-8 in need of mental health services. Focuses on children who are not receiving child welfare or juvenile justice services. Children are matched with LFS community therapists who are trained in evidence-based practices. Throughout the counseling process, therapists work with the family and a Connections mental health coordinator to help remove financial hardships and other barriers families face in accessing services.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy used to help with symptoms of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). By directly affecting how the brain processes information, EMDR helps people see traumatic memories in new, less distressing ways.

Using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), parents learn play therapy skills to enhance their parent-child relationship. Parents also learn to manage their child’s behaviors through behavioral principles and discipline techniques.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy for children and adolescents (ages 3 to 18) with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other difficulties related to traumatic life events. The goal is to provide both the child and caregiver with the knowledge and skills to help them identify and cope with trauma-related emotions, thoughts and behaviors.

Provides transportation services on demand to those in need. Service provided is a curb to curb service throughout Henry, Stark and Western Bureau Counties. All rides must begin and end in Henry County. 

Provides scholarships to school-aged children in income-eligible households wishing to attend a camp or enroll in a class such a swimming lessons, cooking, art, etc.

Provides county-wide transit service to the covered counties, serving the general public with priority for the elderly and handicapped. Transportation operates on a regular schedule providing both local and out-of-area door-to-door service.

Accepts donations such as adult seasonally appropriate clothing, blankets, tennis shoes or boots, and hygiene/period products. Will also accept donations of household goods and toys/games. 

Offers a food pantry that provides a box of food for families and individuals in need.

Provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children.

TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.

Transitional services are also available to help families become independent, such as GED preparation, vocational training, job retention programs, etc.

Provides refugee parents with early childhood development education and support in their native language. Program also works to increase opportunities for family engagement with schools and service providers, increase enrollment and support of refugee children in preschool and kindergarten, and help teachers and school staff better understand refugee parents.

Navigators consist of a select group of parents from different ethnic groups from Burma who build their knowledge, skills and confidence through ongoing training, one-on-one mentorship and peer support. Parent Navigators share their knowledge with fellow parents in culturally-relevant and linguistically-appropriate learning circles.

Services provided by a navigator include interpretation services for parent-teacher conferences, home visits and fall orientation, wrap-around services and support, monthly community learning circles, cultural presentations, educational videos, preschool and kindergarten enrollment, and parent education workshops.

Trained professional staff provide positive adult mentors and role models. Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interest in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices.

- Summer Camp: Offers a day camp experience for youth. Camp includes weekly themes, field trips, swimming, fitness, and more.

- Camp Confidence: Offers a summer camp style course designed to utilize partnerships that provide an overview of business development and processes. Local business community partners create project-based experiences for students by providing funding, expertise, meeting space, business tours, and one-on-one mentoring.

Provides food pantry services to residents of the area served. Visitors may choose a specified number of foods from each category (proteins, grains, vegetables, and fruits) and basic staple foods. Grocery items include perishable and nonperishable foods.

Personal care items (toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, etc.) may be available when donations have been received.

First-time visitors receive a listing of community resources to help connect with other community services.
