Services include mental health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and psychiatric crisis intervention. Psychiatric medication services are also available, which include psychiatric evaluations to determine the need for medication, the prescription of psychotropic drugs to manage symptoms of mental illness, and periodic follow-up to monitor medication effectiveness and minimize side effects. Services for youth address problems such as out-of-control behavior, depression, abuse or trauma, and difficulty in school.

Provides a variety of health services to children. Services include annual exams, sports and school physicals, well-baby visits, a diaper bank for families that have earned points to receive diapers and wipes, childhood immunizations, and wellness care.

Offers community Meals, that are served daily to anyone needing a hot meal. The meal locations and times are as follows: La Iglesia Apostolica Church, 2561 Onawa Street, DSM 50317, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm. New Directions Shelter, 3001 Grand Avenue, DSM 50312, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm.

Offers to advocate for community members with understanding civil rights and responsibilities when dealing with the government, employers, or other service providers. Examples of advocacy services, IEP advocacy for students, information on Social Security/Disability benefits application and appeals. Please note that we are not lawyers and we do not offer legal counsel.

Provides an alternative for patients who need skilled care, but do not require 24-hour supervision. Services are provided to patients under the direction of the patient’s doctor.

Utilizes various techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to develop an individualized treatment plan that best suits each client.
