The Nature Center is maintained a full-time DNR Board resident staff member and scheduled nature lectures are held at the Center. The Eden Valley Nature Center is open to the general public on Saturdays from 1pm-4pm May-October. Displays include: live snakes, a wildlife diorama, a rock collection, and several taxidermy displays.

Offers low-income immigrants and refugees a safe place to seek free legal assistance for immigration and naturalization issues. The attorneys and DOJ accredited representatives provide counsel for immigrants and refugees who are eligible for legal status in the United States. Counsel and advice for new clients is available at monthly legal clinics in 7 locations in Iowa: Ames, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Ottumwa, Decorah, Marshalltown and Storm Lake. The attorneys or DOJ accredited representatives may represent clients beyond the intake clinics if they are eligible for immigration benefits and there is a capacity to assist them.
