Provides a mail order public library of audio books and Braille program for individuals who are unable to read standard print. 

Provides a Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (FPH). The patients (not offenders) in this unit have not been adjudicated to serve prison sentences. They are committed to this unit due to their high risk for assaultive and/or self-injurious behavior to the point that no other providers are equipped to adequately care for them, and there are additionally a few patients who reside at the FPH who have been found, “Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI).”

Tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to people 60 and older, for the 2026 tax season.

Offers community classes covering a variety of topics including Life Skills Training - Family Life Series, Stepping Up, personal development, anger management, and Positive Parenting.

Intermediate program which takes a firm, zero-tolerance stance against drugs and violence. Students receive discounts at businesses and admission into special events and retreats for making a commitment to be alcohol, tobacco, other drug, and violence free. Weekly meetings are held at numerous local junior high schools.

Offers a variety of additional substance abuse prevention services free to Scott County residents, including curriculum in the schools, drug-free workplace training, Esteem Team groups, etc.

Offers to support working aged adults with diverse abilities in identification of desired occupations, skills, resume development, and interviewing.

Offers general medical care.

Residential inpatient care for substance abuse, addiction, or co-occurring disorders.

Group and individual therapy for teens experiencing significant problems as a result of drug/alcohol use. Multi-family therapy group and individual family therapy sessions as needed.

Individualized treatment goals and interventions.

Includes psychiatric consultation, assessment, and medication management.

Urinalysis drug screening with immediate results.

Provides services and support for foster and adoptive parents including family events, connections to respite care, and scholarships for foster children.

Volunteer drivers provide curb to curb transportation within David City and to the Senior Center for meals. Please call to make appointment.  If you are in need of wheelchair transportation, please call to schedule.  

Provides outpatient mental health services. Services include treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, self-harm and suicidality, family/relationship problems, OCD, and confusion/memory loss.

Immunization services including flu and pneumonia, most travel vaccines, and routine vaccinations for children and older adults.

Provides law enforcement services to the Dwight community.

Provides assistance to eligible individuals who wish to attain their GED by paying the testing fees, when funding is available. Up to 2 failed sections may also be retaken with MCS funds. Individual must be ready to take the GED test and pick up application packet at the office.

Provides help to families in situations which are threatening the health or wellbeing of an eligible child and family.

Emergency Assistance payments may be made for shelter expenses, relocation expenses, or non-medical transportation. Payments are made directly to the provider of the service.

Assistance with rent, rental deposit, and/or utilities may not be available; that type of help is dependent on the client's situation.  Call for information.

Provides nutritious supplemental food from USDA to seniors 60 years of age and older. Participants must meet income guidelines.

CSFP does not provide all the food a person needs. It provides supplemental food with good sources of nutrients which may be lacking in the diets of the participants

Provides full library services, including internet access.

Provides financial assistance for basic needs (food, gas, rent and utilities), transportation assistance (car repairs, gas and paying for public transportation) offering coaching and family goal-setting support, and facilitating access to early childhood resources. Additionally, we offer referrals for mental health and counseling services.

Provides hospital services, including primary care, specialty care, virtual care, and more.
