Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities. Provides health care services to those experiencing acute or chronic pain and/or illness, or those seeking medical services that are not due to an emergency. Services include annual screenings or check ups, chronic disease management, immunizations, pregnancy tests, pre and postnatal care, school and sports physicals, sexually transmitted infection tests, and well-child exams. 

Offers nursing and hospice care services for individuals with terminal illness or who are homebound.

Services include hospice medical director who consults with staff and patients, nursing visits scheduled as needed, 24-hour on-call staff, C.N.A. visits as scheduled, expert pain and symptom control using appropriate medications and holistic methods, psychosocial assistance and support, financial and legal information/referrals, spiritual support through the spiritual care team with patient's permission, volunteers to offer assistance in errands, companionship, conversation, counseling for patient, family, and community, education for family, facilities, and community, assistance with funeral planning and arrangements, grief support for patient, family, and community, and home health aide.

Offers workshops that teach individuals and families how to get more out of money and how to save money for financial goals. This is a series of workshops that are a blend of instruction and hands on activities so each concept can be mastered. 

Offers an affordable before and after school child care programs year round. Providing homework assistance and participation in activities that keep children active and productive before school begins and the school day ends. 

Early Head Start ensures that children (0-3 years of age) and their families receive the academic, social, mental, health, and nutritional education they need.

Head Start prepares children for Kindergarten and beyond. Also meets the nutritional, health, social and mental health needs of children and their families.

Provides counseling and information regarding the natural function of breastfeeding infants.

Offers group meetings, and pamphlets are available on request.

Provides emergency food services for families in crisis, offering a 3 to5 day food supply. When available may also pick up bread, meat and seasonally available produce

Collects property taxes, conducts annual tax sale for delinquent taxes, processes vehicle transactions, issues driver's licenses, and issues motor vehicle titles and registrations.

Provides food and clothing to those in need.

Provides city government and public services to the Urbandale Community.

Thrift store.

Give-away voucher program. Vouchers distributed at the Friends in Need Service monthly.
