In-home residential services designed to develop and maintain skills ranging from personal care to protective oversight. Residential habilitation is an around-the-clock service in a group home setting or Extended Family Home/Shared Living. Risk services provides extra training and clinical staff involvement.
Adel First Christian Church
Offers used clothing for infants through adults, including shoes, jackets and coats. Will also sort, bag, and deliver requested clothing to school nurses around the area. Will accept donations of gently used, or new, clothing.

Mid-Sioux Opportunity Outreach Office - Lyon County
For Thanksgiving/Christmas 2025:
Holiday Food provides special meals during the holiday season.
Holiday Families provides support to families during the holidays, in partnership with community organizations.
Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets are offered through some Mid-Sioux Opportunity outreach offices, as well as Christmas gift distribution programs. Dates and times vary by location. Families are encouraged to contact their local office for details.
Ogle County Offices - Sheriff
Provides law enforcement services to the county. Also operates the county jail.
Catholic Charities Diocese of Springfield - Mattoon
Provides assistance to new mothers with newborn children, ages 0-3 months.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Urbandale
Offers to sell new and used home improvement materials to the public at discounted prices. All proceeds from ReStore benefit the mission of Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. Donations: Materials in the store are donated from the public and private sector, and include such items as cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, lumber, flooring, paint, and windows.
RAMP Disability Resources and Services - DeKalb County
Designed to assist Social Security Disability (SSI/SSDI) beneficiaries with the transition from Social Security Disability Benefits to work. It provides employment supports and services to help reach work goals.
RAMP also has a certified Community Partner Work Incentives Counselor (CPWIC) that can assist individuals with understanding their benefits and the changes that will occur once employed.
Pregnancy Resources - Illinois Center
Free and confidential services for pregnant women.
Pregnancy tests by appointment or walk in basis as available.
Adoption education and referrals.
Sexual risk avoidance education.
Fetal development and pregnancy education and classes.
Parenting classes.
Fatherhood classes.
Bible studies and spiritual support.
Material assistance through Bella's Boutique offers free maternity clothes, baby equipment, baby clothing up to 3T, and free diapers; call for information.
Educational Service Unit 9
| Provides a wide variety of services to member schools, including professional development opportunities, digital learning and internet services, and student supports for individuals with special needs. The Early Development Network service coordination is a free service for families and children ages birth to three who have developmental delays, difficulties with speech and language, health issues, fine and gross motor difficulties, behavior issues, need to access community resources, and other concerns. |
Christian Opportunity Center - Indianola
HCBS (HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES) programs provide training and support to people living in shared homes in the community with opportunities for learning skills to help develop independence. (Pella/Knoxville and Indianola/Des Moines regions). SPIRITUAL SERVICES are available to all clients.

Two Rivers Head Start Agency - Elgin West (Aldine)
Provides financial assistance to senior and disabled individuals with unmet needs. Services could include car repairs, eye glasses, medical equipment, dental care, or help with clothing. Senior Basket Program assists seniors with various items that cannot be acquired with food stamps. Basket varieties include things like cleaning supplies, kitchen items, or personal hygiene supplies. Two Baskets are distributed each year in the Spring and Fall.
Child Health Specialty Clinics - Decorah
Provides service coordination, nutrition services, and health assessments for children ages 0-3 enrolled in Early ACCESS (Early intervention for infants and toddlers).
Chickasaw County Offices
Maintains official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state tax liens, military records, birth, divorce and death records. Offers fishing, ATV, Boat and Snowmobile licenses/renewals and a Passport acceptance facility and photo service. Military Records for tax exemptions and benefits also available. Can also offer marriage licenses and certificates.

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership - Grand Island
Provides clothing, household items, and personal hygiene items to victims/survivors of domestic violence.
Services are available as part of CNCAP's THRIVES program.
North Central Behavioral Health Systems - Macomb Office
Offers an 8-hour course that teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training provides the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing and mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Also offers a course designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Topics include depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
