Holiday Gift and Food Basket applications may be picked up at the SENCA office in Falls City or Humboldt, starting October 28th, 2024. No applications will be accepted after November 15th at 4 pm.

Lifescape Community Services - Sterling Office

Offers 24-hour intakes by phone at the local number and the state hotline. A caseworker will make a home visit to investigate any allegations of abuse and assist the victim. Interventions will be offered to the victim and referrals made to the appropriate organizations. Interventions can include but are not limited to in-home services, legal, medical, relocation, and counseling.

Investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults age 60 and older and persons with disabilities (ages 18-59) who live in domestic (non-institutional) setting. Appointed by the Illinois Department on Aging to investigate allegations of physical and emotional abuse, financial exploitation, confinement/neglect, deprivation of food or medication, sexual abuse, and self-neglect

Families and friends of individuals with Down syndrome who are committed to promoting awareness and inclusion provide the following services:

- Helps families adjust to the birth of a child with Down syndrome.

- Provides support for expanded inclusive educational, recreational, social, vocational, and residential opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.

- Provides informational and educational opportunities to families and interested persons, as well as public awareness activities to dispel myths about Down syndrome.

- Offers a wide variety of new books with information from newborn to adult through The Down Syndrome Library. (Located at the Bloomington Public Library.)

- Provides assistance to those with Down syndrome through the CIDSO Enrichment Fund; members may have access to funds to help afford/support people with Down syndrome's participation and support in communal activities.

Professional case managers at PAF work with the mission to identify and reduce the challenges that individuals are having when seeking care for their disease.  Case management services are available on behalf of patients meeting ALL of the following criteria:
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of a chronic disease, a life-threatening disease, or debilitating disease OR be seeking screening services related to symptoms or suspicion of a chronic, life-threatening or debilitating disease
  • Be in active treatment, had treatment within the past 6 months, or going into treatment in the next 60 days
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
  • Be receiving treatment at a facility in the United States or one of its US territories

Offers an educational course on home buying for those looking to become more knowledgeable in purchasing a new home. Lessons focus on preparing for home ownership, shopping for a home, securing a mortgage, closing the loan, and being a home owner. Upon completion of the lessons, individuals may earn a homebuyer's certificate to take to your local lender. To earn a homebuyer's certificate, complete all six lessons and taking/passing the final test earns a homebuyer’s certificate. Many home loan programs require completion of a homebuyer course to qualify for a loan. Participants may access the course any time of day from any computer with Internet access.
