Christmas gifts and food in partnership with county partners.

For Christmas 2025:

As of 11/20/25, no longer accepting applications but community members may still call and see if the office might have extra gift cards to Dollar Fresh and Family Fare grocery stores in Richardson County for food for the families (distributed on December 14th).

Holiday Gift and Food Basket applications may be picked up at the SENCA office in Falls City or Humboldt, starting October 28th, 2024. No applications will be accepted after November 15th at 4 pm.

Assists entrepreneurs in all stages of business start-up and development including business plan review, financial projections, financial analysis, opportunity assessment, market research, loan applications, government contracting, and marketing strategies.

Cooperative program of the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Nebraska.

Offers 24-hour intakes by phone at the local number and the state hotline. A caseworker will make a home visit to investigate any allegations of abuse and assist the victim. Interventions will be offered to the victim and referrals made to the appropriate organizations. Interventions can include but are not limited to in-home services, legal, medical, relocation, and counseling.

Investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults age 60 and older and persons with disabilities (ages 18-59) who live in domestic (non-institutional) setting. Appointed by the Illinois Department on Aging to investigate allegations of physical and emotional abuse, financial exploitation, confinement/neglect, deprivation of food or medication, sexual abuse, and self-neglect

Provides resources and support for individuals and families affected by addiction and mental health challenges. Services include life and recovery coaching, peer support, trauma-informed care, community and group programs, and faith-based recovery partnerships.

Provides support services for crime victims.

Offers a two year program for women with or without children. The women will be assisted in setting developmental goals and working with staff to achieve them.There are enhanced programs such as: case management, life skills, parenting support, financial management, education, and employment skills, community involvement, budgeting, homemaking and one-to-one support.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent and utility payments, and burial expense may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Families and friends of individuals with Down syndrome who are committed to promoting awareness and inclusion provide the following services:

- Helps families adjust to the birth of a child with Down syndrome.

- Provides support for expanded inclusive educational, recreational, social, vocational, and residential opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.

- Provides informational and educational opportunities to families and interested persons, as well as public awareness activities to dispel myths about Down syndrome.

- Offers a wide variety of new books with information from newborn to adult through The Down Syndrome Library. (Located at the Bloomington Public Library.)

- Provides assistance to those with Down syndrome through the CIDSO Enrichment Fund; members may have access to funds to help afford/support people with Down syndrome's participation and support in communal activities.

Offers to connect people with support groups around the state of Iowa.

• Have a confirmed diagnosis of a chronic disease, a life-threatening disease, or debilitating disease OR be seeking screening services related to symptoms or suspicion of a chronic, life-threatening or debilitating disease
• Be in active treatment, had treatment within the past 6 months, or going into treatment in the next 60 days
• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
• Be receiving treatment at a facility in the United States or one of its US territories

From achieving employment to securing housing, accessing healthcare to building a support system, professionals leverage individual and team strengths to reach each person’s goals.

Provides contracted employment physicals, TB testing, and a range of vaccinations, including flu vaccines and COVID-19 immunizations.

Offers sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening services.

Delivers disease and disability information, offering resources on causes, prevention, symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options.

Provides wellness and recovery education for mental health and substance use conditions, referrals, and information on community supports.

The Warm Line is not a crisis line; staff work with callers to proactively address aspects of their wellness by identifying triggers:

- Developing action plans (daily and situational).

- Learning what is necessary to maintain wellness.

Provides opportunities for individuals to donate blood.

Offers government services to the community of Pella. Also provides services to new and prospective residents and businesses.
