As of 11/20/25, no longer accepting applications but community members may still call and see if the office might have extra gift cards to Dollar Fresh and Family Fare grocery stores in Richardson County for food for the families (distributed on December 14th).

Holiday Gift and Food Basket applications may be picked up at the SENCA office in Falls City or Humboldt, starting October 28th, 2024. No applications will be accepted after November 15th at 4 pm.

Offers 24-hour intakes by phone at the local number and the state hotline. A caseworker will make a home visit to investigate any allegations of abuse and assist the victim. Interventions will be offered to the victim and referrals made to the appropriate organizations. Interventions can include but are not limited to in-home services, legal, medical, relocation, and counseling.
Investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults age 60 and older and persons with disabilities (ages 18-59) who live in domestic (non-institutional) setting. - Helps families adjust to the birth of a child with Down syndrome.
- Provides support for expanded inclusive educational, recreational, social, vocational, and residential opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.
- Provides informational and educational opportunities to families and interested persons, as well as public awareness activities to dispel myths about Down syndrome.
- Offers a wide variety of new books with information from newborn to adult through The Down Syndrome Library. (Located at the Bloomington Public Library.)
- Provides assistance to those with Down syndrome through the CIDSO Enrichment Fund; members may have access to funds to help afford/support people with Down syndrome's participation and support in communal activities.
