EveryStep Hospice - Winterset

Southwest YMCA

All locations offer a wellness floor with cardio and weight equipment and wellness staff to assist. Most locations offer a range of group-exercise classes (high intensity, challenging, low impact, chair-assisted, fall prevention), active older adult and youth programs, open swim and lap times, swim lessons (including adaptive and adult), open gymnasium hours, pickleball, child watch, youth sports, and summer day camp.

Other programs and features vary by location (See notes below and visit website for more details and hours):

- The Buena Vista YMCA Express is a co-op project in conjunction with Omaha Public Schools, located on the Buena Vista High School campus. It includes a unique wellness floor featuring eGYM and MX4 equipment. This location is a wellness-only 14+ facility.

- The Westview YMCA offers youth sports and sports camps, a splash pad, and it is attached to Omaha Public School’s Westview High School. Visit other locations to learn more about summer day camp opportunities.

- The YMCA Healthy Living Center is an adult-only location designed for individuals 30+, with a therapeutic warm-water pool and a wider variety of low impact classes and equipment as well as social clubs and activities geared toward active older adults.

- The Charles E. Lakin YMCA offers eSports.

- The Butler-Gast YMCA and Downtown YMCA locations accept registrations for youth sports and host practices and games in collaboration with the Maple Street YMCA.

- The Gretna Crossing YMCA has eGYM equipment and a splash pad. It is part of the Gretna Crossing Park that offers trails, disc golf course, and a water park.

- The Blair Family YMCA offers a fitness center, pool, and many activities for youth and adults regardless of ability to pay.

Free commercial airline tickets to families in need of specialized, distant medical care and/or second opinions.

Medical Advocacy:

Trained advocates respond to local hospitals 24-hours a day. They can accompany a survivor through the evidence collection and medical treatment process. Advocates provide support, give information about options and rights, and assist with safety planning.

Legal Advocacy:

Legal advocates can assist with navigating the civil and criminal justice process. This includes assistance in filing for Civil No Contact and Stalking No Contact Orders. They can also help individuals assert their rights as crime survivors and accompany them to meetings with officials and court hearings.

Offers the Adventure Pass, designed to help individuals and families check out area attractions for free. The pass can be checked out with an adult library card, and allows free admittance to the Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines Children's Museum, Science Center of Iowa and the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens. The Adventure Pass must be printed when presented upon admission into the attractions, along with a photo ID.

Services for people with an intellectual disability and who may also have a physical disability. The program consists of Residential Care Facility-Intellectual Disability (RCF-ID) licensed group homes housing eight individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Staff provide supervision, instruction, and assistance in community living. Residents receive 24-hour supervision and assistance and must participate in daily work or day habilitation services.

Greenbelt Home Care (Hardin County Public Health)

Offers a free service to all new mothers in Hardin County to help all new mothers with any questions they might have once they bring their baby home. Services include free in home visits from a Greenbelt Home Care Maternal Health Nurse, nurse assessment of the health of the mother and baby, information on programs that provide financial assistance, lead screenings, and immunizations. Can also offer resources and referrals in the Hardin County area, and around the state of Iowa.
