There is oversight to residents 24 hours a day. Residents attend treatment and implement sober living skills with other individuals in early recovery. The Recovery Homes are currently available to adult men and adult women who struggle with a substance use disorder to assist in their long-term recovery.

The website includes information on Medication for Addictions Treatment (MAT) and features a map to locate nearby providers contracted with the State of Iowa. While the online list is not exhaustive, additional facility options can be found at yourlifeiowa.org/facility-locator. The platform also emphasizes access to resources such as opioid antidotes, including Narcan, which can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and help prevent fatalities. The service is open to anyone.
