Provides resilience training to enhance positive behaviors and protective factors that support sustained personal readiness and resiliency through education and skill-building. The training equips participants with intellectual and emotional tools to optimize long-term health, performance, and deployment readiness. Additionally, offers a Suicide Prevention Program aimed at reducing suicide risk among Soldiers, Army Civilians, and Family members through early identification and intervention strategies. 

The program includes access to immediate assistance via suicide prevention hotlines, which provide support for individuals experiencing suicidal feelings or those concerned about others. Hotline services include crisis assessment, resource mobilization, and emergency intervention as needed, available through telephone, email, chat, and text. These initiatives collectively promote overall health, readiness, and well-being for Iowa National Guard Soldiers and their families.

Offers nurses, home care aides for personal cares and homemakers for homemaking needs for those who need assistance related to a medical diagnosis which prevents them from being able to manage these functions independently. Health Services no longer provides acute home care services funded by insurances but will provide all similar services as needed to safely assist persons to maintain independence and thus prevent unnecessary institutionalism. Call for eligibility or to get information as to where you may be able to acquire home care services.

Offers a safe and confidential grief support that is facilitated by a Licensed Master Social Worker. The support group is offered in six week intervals and registration is required. It provides support, education on grief and bereavement, coping skills, self-care, and what to expect.

Offers visitation program for low-income families providing free services in partnership with their FaDSS Family Development Specialist who works with the whole family to address their basic needs, improve child well being, and develop career opportunities.

Provides information for communicable diseases, health promotion and education.

Offers non-perishable items, perishable items, and toiletries. Five (5) days worth of food provided. Available twice per month.
