Provides weatherization services to low income households. Helps conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades.
Services vary, but may include insulation, furnace work, and air sealing.
Nebraska Children's Home Society - Omaha
Serves all Nebraska adoptive families - international, domestic infant, private, step-parent and foster adoptive families. Advocates for the special interests of adoptive families and connects families to one another. Six core services include Permanency Support Services, Respite Care Connections, Parent2Parent Network, Mental Health Connections, Training, and Support Groups and Family Activities.
Case management available for up to 180 days. Individualized family plan designed and implemented with the family's input.
Assists post adoptive and guardianship families in locating formal and informal respite providers and can provide financial assistance for respite services (limited). All families who receive financial respite assistance through the program will be asked to attend a training.
Mentoring in partnership with Nebraska Foster and Adoptive Parent Association (NFAPA) to assist in providing peer mentoring services to post adoptive and guardianship families.
Mental health services - locates and refers families to professional post adoption and guardianship providers.
Training opportunities that can support skill building on issues related to adoption.
Support groups and networks for families and youth where social networks can be created and peer support can be achieved.
Salvation Army Heritage Place
Permanent supportive housing programs serving persons that are chronically homeless and have a documented disability. Program participants live in a home of their choosing in the community and pay 30% of their adjusted gross income as rent. The HOME programs pay the rent in full to the landlord/owner of the property. Participants sign a sub-lease that gives full rights, responsibilities and legal protections under Federal, state and local housing laws.
Case management is offered but not required to maintain housing. Information, referrals to community resources, individualized service planning, crisis support and intervention, budgeting and money management, credit and debt counseling, and 24-hour staff accessibility is provided.
North Central Behavioral Health Systems - LaSalle Office
Provides counseling services for both individual treatment and group work. It can be focused on a specific issue or focused on broader patterns of thinking and behavior. Both require an individual to learn new, healthier ways to think and interact.
Online counseling option also available. An online session is conducted the same as an in-person session, with the exception of never having to leave the home or office. The format is face-to-face, in real time, over a computer.

Orchard Place - Residential Campus
Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children: a PMIC facility for emotionally disturbed children between the ages of 10 to 17 and is operated by Orchard Place, a private, non-sectarian, non-profit corporation. Orchard Place can accept children of average or potentially average intelligence who evidence a desire for help and a willingness to make a commitment to treatment. No child is denied admission on the basis of race, religion, creed, or residence. Includes individual therapy for each child, recreational and group therapy, medication monitoring, pediatric and nursing services, family therapy; and therapeutic living relationships to enable living with self and others. Education provided through Des Moines Public Schools.
Helping Hands of Roseville
Offers a food pantries for families in need. Families are allowed to visit the pantry four time per month. Services allow individuals to pick and choose their own items, or families can receive a food box (box sizes go by family size).

Community-based services and support to persons of all ages with developmental disabilities.
Residential program includes staffed group homes for youth and adults, supervised apartments, and independent living arrangements in Alliance, Chadron, and Hay Springs.
Vocational training and employment services through a supervised workshop (Niobrara Enterprises), which includes on-site contract work, work stations in industry, supervised employment programs, and job coaching.
Year-round educational program is available to children through contractual arrangements with the school district.
