Wabash Area Development - Hamilton County
Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. Application period is from October 1-August 31 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-August 31 for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines.
LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th.

Mid Central Community Action Agency
Provides financial literacy workshops to help families and individuals achieve stability and secure homeownership. Can also help, when funding is available, with back rent and overdue mortgage payments. Services include credit building, debt reduction coaching, homeownership/homebuyer education, access to income support services (emergency rent and mortgage help when funding available), employment coaching/career services, and financial education and coaching.
Dubuque Residential Correctional Facility
Provides assessments, group therapy, and individual counseling, including specialized counseling services for individuals who have committed or are at risk of committing sexual offenses. A Department Psychologist conducts the assessments, and trained staff deliver group therapy and individual counseling to address and work toward eliminating violent and/or abusive behaviors.
