Provides public health services to the residents of Winneshiek County. Services can include health supervision and counseling, childhood immunizations, adolescent/adult immunizations (i.e. tetanus, Hepatitis B), and blood pressure checks.
HACAP - Dubuque County Outreach
Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines. LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th. May be able to help with repairs on a furnace but cannot replace the furnace. Keep checking back on the furnace program as it is dependent on funding that changes frequently.

Contractors will remove snow accumulations of 2" or more at the cities discretion.
CommUnity Crisis Services
Provides youth individuals in crisis a therapeutic place to receive care. Services include a youth shelter for children ages 12-17 who are unhoused, or have run away from home, were kicked out of the home, or couch surfing. Individuals staying on the farm may participate in individual and family counseling, peer support groups, therapeutic recreation with arts, music, and animals. Services also include short-term stabilization for youth individuals ages 10-17 experiencing a mental health crisis for 3-10 days.
